Split PDF Files By Blank Pages
Often we get multi-page PDF files with blank pages as asparator. It would be so convenient to split them automatically by those blank pages! It can be done with PDF Splitter. You can define how many blank pages in a row should be there to create a new PDF file. For instance if you may set two pages in a row to be considered a separator, while 1 blank page to be not.
Sample Usage:
I have a multi-page PDF file with blank pages. I want to split it according to these blank pages. A new file should be created each time there is a blank page.
PDF Splitter is the most convenient way to do that. I launch the program, select the folder with PDF files in the file tree, check the PDF that I want to split and press Split PDF button.
After I set the destination folder I select Split by blank pages option in the wizard. As I want to a new file created every time there is 1 blank page I set 1 in the field. You can as well set 2 or 3 or any other number of blank pages.
Then we come to the unique option of PDF Splitter - setting tolerance value. Most programs require a page to be completely clean to be detected as blank. But sometimes you have fax footers or just a few scratches on the page but no actual info. PDF Splitter is smart enough to detect such pages as blank too (if you set the high tolerance).
Then I tell the program how to name the split PDF files. By default every new file will be named based on this template [Name].page#.pdf. This means that I get files FAHSC.page1.pdf, FAHSC.page2.pdf, FAHSC.page3.pdf and so on till page 28. I may start numeration from any digit. I may as well type my own template like [Name].invoice#.pdf if I split PDF invoices.
Besides, if I already have 5 PDF files in the destination folder the program can count them as well. So my split files will start as FAHSC.page6.pdf, FAHSC.page7.pdf, etc. That's most convenient when you split several related multi-page PDF files and place them into one folder.
PDF Splitter allows selecting PDF options. I may select the level of compression for my new PDF files. Besides, PDF Splitter can make the resulting PDF documents compatible with any particular version of Adobe Acrobat.
As all the settings are done I press Start button. In few seconds the destination folder with the newly created PDF files is opened.
PDF Splitter is not limited to splitting PDF files by blank pages only. It can also help you to:
